All the essential details.
Here's your full run down of this place, inside and out...
You'll park by the front door which takes you inside to the base of the stairs and into the sitting room area. The house is set up for families who will appreciate the thoughtful owners who've put a huge amount of effort and detail into this cottage. The kitchen is new, has plenty of kit for cooking, good views of the garden on both sides, and a separate dining room with a table to seat everyone will be perfect for family meals.
There is a good downstairs bedroom and ensuite shower - useful for those who don't want to climb stairs.
Upstairs bedrooms are all a nice size for a small cottage. Each will fit a travel cot in. The green and blue bedrooms feel a little bit chi-chi, the kids bedroom is fun, with quirky details.
The upstairs bathroom is particularly smart with dark blue walls and a giant circular mirror. Post-beach-walk-baths will be indulgent.
All of the bedrooms are a good size here. Travel cots fit in all rooms. The truckle bed pullout will make the kids room feel tight.
Bedroom 1 - Downstairs : King with synthetic bedding, ensuite shower and loo. Bedroom 2 : King or Twin with synthetic bedding. Views overlooking the driveway and fields. Bedroom 3 : King bed with synthetic bedding. Views over the fields. Bedroom 4 : Single bed with synthetic bedding. This is a truckle bed (extra single mattress on the floor).
En-suite : Shower, sink and loo. Family Bathroom : Roll top bath with separate shower, sink and loo. Downstairs loo : Next kitchen by back door.
All the rest...
Kitchen : Oven and 4 gas hob / Fridge / Freezer / Microwave / Magimix Nespresso Coffee machine / Kettle / Cafeteria / Hand mixer / Electric chopper / Washing Machine / Tumble Dryer / Iron Mod Cons : Freeview and DVD player / WIFI Connectivity : Good WIFI but rural speeds. 4G and mobile service is generally good here Kids' Stuff : One cot and one highchair. Travel cot size - TBC cm. A small selection of children's toys, Books, Garden games are provided. Kids plastic plates and cups. Pets : Dogs are welcome for a small charge.
The garden at the back is mainly flat and has good views to the pony paddocks beyond.
There is a small play gazebo in the garden too.
The dining room has double doors that open up onto a small terrace. To the left, with access from the kitchen door, is another terrace with a solid table for outdoor meals. This seats 8.
Garden : Enclosed back garden with large patio with a solid wooden table with 8 chairs. There are lots of garden games for the kids but best of all, a little treehouse. It's quite high, so we have a rope ladder hanging. This will help filter out children who are too young to climb up, and parents can clip up the ladder if you don't want children to climb up. The garden has views to the surrounding pony paddocks and small holdings.
There's a little vegetable patch and a small herb garden too.
There is a charcoal BBQ for guests to use.
Parking : Parking for 3 cars outside the house.
The treehouse is small, and quite high, so won't be suitable for all kids. The owners have hung a rope ladder for access which will help filter small children who don't have the strength to climb up.
We ask guests to sign a waiver if they are going to use it. You can tie up the rope ladder to stop little ones getting access.
You can park within 5 metres of the house. There is a small step into the house from the front. The downstairs bedroom has an ensuite bathroom but it doesn't have any special handles or grab rails. To get into the outside terrace you need to step over the door lintel but otherwise it's flat.
The stairs to the second floor have a good solid handrail.
Free and included in your booking cost are: all bedding and linen, towels for the house, kitchen essentials, any baby kit you've requested and cleaning the house after you leave. We also supply some treats to get you going for tea when you arrive. Enjoy!

This is the 4th property we have rented in the New Forest with New Forest Escapes and although they are all excellent, this one was the best. Location is perfect, the house is incredibly comfortable and well equipped. We went with another family and we did a lot of cooking. We were all amazed about all the things in the kitchen, all so well thought out. The garden is lovely and relaxed. All the towels and bedding feel new and impeccable. They always have lovely touches, like cake and some basics (milk, oil....), and even a full jar of Nespresso capsules which we really enjoyed, rather than the usual 2 or 3 other rentals leave. I hope we can rent this same house again next time we go to the New Forest.August 2021
We really enjoyed exploring this corner of UK and found some fantastic places to eat out locally and lots to do outdoors - both on the coast and within New ForestJuly 2021
Lovely house in a good location. Great layout of rooms ... so good for All of us . With a downstairs bedroom too . So much to do the surrounding area . We took a ferry across to Hurst castle and walk back via the split. And enjoyed a fabulous day at Beaulieu, so much to do for all the family.July 2021
Perfect getaway. I will rent with you again and I will be back in the area. So much beauty. House was perfect for us. I would only suggest of adding a couple of sunbeds to stay in the garden. Other than that, we loved it!!!June 2021
We had a great stay here in Field View. We walked to the coast (Keyhaven aswell as Milford on Sea) several times via different routes crossing fields with amazing yellow rapeseed and a beautiful semi-natural forest with Oak and Bluebells. We explored the New Forest starting at the top end of Furzey Lane, Brockenhurst. The kids spent hours playing with the garden games and watching the horses from the height of the tree house. Thanks Andrew & Kath for making your lovely holiday home available to others. To all future guests; enjoy your time here!
The house is new with us in May 2021. Our own team have been helping the owners style and finish the house over the last 2 months. The project has been a total renovation and the finish is something we are very proud to bring you. The whole team have visited the house and we have rented houses in this area for the last 5 years. Keyhaven and Milford are such lovely areas. Enjoy!
