With its breath-taking location overlooking The Solent & Isle of Wight, our Lymington bolthole offers a wide-skied, boat-bobbing & bird-soaring haven by the coast!

Hidden behind the masts, and tucked down a leafy lane, you’ll find Little Sandpipers’ light & bright annexe waiting to welcome you into New Forest wanderlust. Revealing VIP seascape views, you’ll find yourselves immersed into the ever-changing backdrop where walking, biking, paddleboarding & nature-watching are all there for the taking.

Sitting amongst the eaves, we love how the open-plan layout & bedroom of the first floor feels flooded with light, and the neutral styling lets the views take centre stage. With a spacious bathroom downstairs, and use of the owner’s garden welcomed, this well-put-together sanctuary is perfectly formed for a romantic break away (there is also space for a plus 1 with a younger guest on the sofa bed, or, a babe in arms to use the cot).

Rise with the sun & head outside to watch the deer graze with your morning coffee, before following the The Sea Wall to Milford. No matter how far you venture out, there’s a feeling of far-flung freedom here to be savoured… and a veritable feast of places to eat, drink & be merry await your return upon Lymington’s buzzy High Street!

Here's your full run down of this place, inside and out...

Inside

When you have soaked up the jaw-dropping scenery that surrounds, you’ll find your sanctuary perched atop of the owner’s double garage- their home is next door, but you have your own entrance, so Little Sandpipers feels very private!

Up the stairs and into the eaves, the space is flooded with natural light... and those Solent glimpses make this hideaway feel truly VIP.

With neutral styling throughout, we love how the space is at ease with the sea breeze, offering a tranquil & calm spot to recharge. The open-plan kitchen/living/dining room feels well-zoned with nifty finishing touches… like how the console table turns into the dining table with just a quick flick of the legs! The farmhouse-style kitchen is well-stocked; so from quick picnic-prepping, to more thorough seafood suppers (Lymington’s Saturday market is must for stocking-up on fresh finds), you’ll have all you need to-hand.

You'll also find the chaise sofa-bed here, which is ideal for sinking into a Netflix-a-thon, and doubles-up nicely as *an extra sleeping space for any younger plus 1's on the guest list.

Through the glass doors and into the triple aspect bedroom, the show-stopping views continue. Echoing the light & airy feel from the living area, the tranquil styling offers a relaxed & welcoming feel where the vistas take centre stage. There’s a king bed and a futon for R&R, *with room for a cot if required (please refer to our Home Truths for max capacity... but wherever you drift off, you're bound to wake up to birdsong.

You’ll find a spacious bathroom, with walk-in shower & WC, just a few steps down from the landing. There's plenty of space here, and the tiles make it feel contemporary and squeaky clean... perfect for washing away the salty day before a night out!

You’ll know you’re staying somewhere rather special from the second you peel off down the country lane into the leafy driveway…

Lucky you as the owners are very happy to share their gorgeous lawn with guests... and, because of its super-VIP location, the large garden feels endless with field views that overlook grazing cows & deer, and melt into the wide skies & water!

There's a bistro table & chairs here for enjoying a glass of something whilst soaking up the scenery, and little visitors are also welcome to use the trampoline & paddling pool (please ensure you sign our waiver before staying).

Although you may be tempted to stay put, you’re only mere moments from walking the Sea Wall and exploring one of the most beautiful places in the world... find secret beaches revealed at low tide, spot the super yachts and bird watch as you go.

Pssst: There's plenty of room for you to park on the private driveway, with no allocated space.
GardenThe larger shared garden is a perfect sun-trap for alfresco dining. 4 x seater garden dining table & chairs / Trampoline / Paddling pool.
ParkingThe driveway has room for 1-2 cars.

Home truths

You will undoubtably meet the owners’ lovely (and very well-trained!) golden retriever, Rusty, during your stay as he likes to spend time in the garden. Please close the gates after you to ensure that he doesn’t go out for his own adventures!

The Wi-Fi may on occasion be a bit slow… but this place is designed for getting off-grid; so what a good excuse to disconnect!

The maximum capacity is for 2 x adults + 1 baby or child. Due to the size of the sofa bed, we are only able to accept a child as the plus 1 here & you will also need to bring your own bedding. If bringing a babe in arms, we can set up the cot in your bedroom.

Please note that the garden is shared with your hosts and their young family (plus Rusty of course!). The little ones are are happy to share their trampoline, paddling pool & play equipment which may be out, but any bookings wishing to use these must sign our safety waiver first.

Accessibility

The main living area & bedroom at Little Sandpipers are located up a set of stairs that lead off the landing (you have your own private access at the back of the garage). You will also need to go down a few stairs, from the landing, to access the bathroom.

The bathroom is a good size and the shower is walk-in.

Please take our virtual tour to get a feel for the space, and do ask us if you would like any further information on the layout.

Location, location, location...

If you are looking for a VIP location to savour the Lymington good life from, this really is it!

The exclusive postcode at Little Sandpipers means that you are mere minutes from enjoying The Sea Wall in all its glory. You can head left into Lymington, or right to wander for a few miles to Keyhaven & Milford on Sea’s beaches; bird & boat watching as you go.

With a fab array of pubs to potter to, The Haven (our fave for views!) happens to be your local… just follow the masts for a minute or two. Head into Lymington High Street to find a buzzy array of shops, & cafés… and yet more pubs… and be sure to plan in a people-watching stop down the cobbles on The Quay.

Lymington Train Station is a stone’s throw from The Quay and will take you straight to the very well-connected station at Brockenhurst, where lots of forest-filled adventures await. You can also take a 2 minute journey in the other direction to the Isle of Wight ferry for a day trip into Yarmouth… adventures await!!

Beautiful place in a gorgeous peaceful location. The accommodation is just like the pictures, clean, bright and very private. We felt so comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is in the country and we heard the birds singing every morning. 15 min walk to the restaurants and the town. We would recommend this place to stay, thank you!

incredibly private and peaceful, with views of a field of deer to the back and the sea and IOW to the front. I drifted off to sleep with the sound of the birds on the marsh, heaven! Would definitely return.
