Here's your full run down of this place, inside and out...
Walk through the front door into the cosy sitting room area followed by a kitchen/dining room. It's a clever space. The kitchen, which was brand new in 2020, is very stylish yet practical. There is a table to fit 6 so everyone can get around for family meals.
There are two oversized arm chairs for lounging and yet more chatting. It's a clever spot to put them - they get all the light and with the patio doors open you can sit here and be inside/outside at the same time.
Cottage stairs (steep) take you up the middle of the house and bedrooms on the first floor are nicely separated by a really good size family bathroom - so you get privacy, not so usual in terraced cottage homes! The master is at the back of the house overlooking the garden with the double/twin at the front of the house.
Very steep stairs take you up to the attic room which can simultaneously be used as a separate lounging/quiet room with the two singles beds used as sofas plus the comfy bean bags too, or as another bedroom.Floor plan

Pets : Up to two dogs welcome here for a small charge, and downstairs only please.
The large patio door opens from the kitchen-dining area onto broad decking which is set up for enjoying the sun and having BBQ's. The garden is lawned and long, great for small children to stretch their legs or to play swing ball or boules (provided)!

The stairs going up to the third floor are steep and not suitable for anyone who is a bit wobbly, they are narrow and steep. Older folk may well struggle here.
Downstairs the house has no steps. The stairs to the first floor have one side handrail. The bathroom is on the first floor and has a roll top bath and separate shower. The second set of stairs to the top floor bedroom are narrow and steep. Older folk may well struggle here.

Beautiful and very well kept cottage in a great village location. Close to all shops with a wide range of cafes, restaurants and pubs offering a great selection of food choices. The Lazy Lion Sunday lunch was lovely. Wonderful bakers too for fresh baked goods and croissants. Stayed with my husband and two teens and pet dog. Garden was great for the dog, kids loved having a double bed each. The stairs to the loft room are very narrow and twist so not ideal for anyone old. Very well stocked kitchen and all the comforts you would expect. Comfortable lounge area with netflix etc and good wifi. Great location for the shingle beach, New Forest, Bournemouth and beyond. Very dog friendly area.August 2021
Saltwater is contemporary, airy and fresh yet still cosy , and the garden is a lovely quiet sun trap - a great place to relax. The house is very well equipped without going over the top. We have two older teens and the accommodation was more than spacious enough for us all to stay friends! Only one very slight grumble would be the traffic noise in the front room, as the road to Keyhaven is surprisingly busy from early morning. You immediately feel part of a community in Milford, which is well located for coast and countryside. Plenty places to shop, eat and wander if you prefer a day without driving. Thoroughly recommended for a family holiday.July 2021
This is a lovely little period property in the heart of the village. The cottage is beautifully decorated and comes with everything you could ever need provided. Wine, cake and milk awaiting on arrival was a nice extra touch! If youve paid for a dog deposit, dog biscuits too! It feels very thoughtful and very well cared for.The team were absolutely fantastic to deal with, honestly the best customer service Ive ever experienced in travel! The garden gets sun right into the evening and is a lovely space to sit. The village green with shops and restaurants is a 3 minute walk and the beach less than 10! Things to be aware of: its on a very busy road with no parking directly outside (but easily available nearby). The stairs are very very steep and narrow so challenging with little children and elderly/injured etc would find it impossible. There is only one bathroom so with 6 people this may be a bit of a juggle! We felt the check in at 5pm and check out at 10am was a bit extreme (even in Covid times 7hours to clean this cottage would be excessive) as you feel like youre paying a lot for a whole day you can only sleep there. That aside we loved our stay and would definitely return!June 2021
We had a lovely four night stay at saltwater cottage. The kitchen is well equipped, and the cottage is beautiful. Milford on sea is a fantastic location, pubs and cafes on your doorstep and the sea in walking distance. We have two small children (1and 4 years) and the stairs are very steep. This is advertised, but they were maybe steeper than we expected.June 2021
We had a lovely stay at Saltwater Cottage and we thought the cottage was just fantastic, beautiful interiors, very well equipped and everything felt very fresh and clean. The flowers and fresh milk and cake were also a lovely welcoming touch Thank you for all your tips and advice prior to the trip, particularly for putting us in touch with Jaunt Bikes who were wonderfully helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed their bikes. We look forward to booking another trip with you in the future.
