What to love about Burley & Ringwood Holiday Cottages...

Burley and Ringwood are two of the New Forest’s most captivating villages, each offering a unique blend of history, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re enchanted by Burley’s heritage or Ringwood’s riverside charm, these villages make for an unforgettable stay.

Why Stay in Burley?

Nestled among ancient woodlands, Burley is a village with a quirky past and a laid-back atmosphere. Famous for its links to witchcraft, with its ‘white witch’ history, you’ll find shops selling crystals and handmade crafts. Burley is a particularly eccentric village offering a Fairy Festival each summer.

The area here is 50% ancient forest with towering trees and 50% heathery heathland. Ponies and cattle live wild in the area and wander the roads and village centre as they wish.

The Burley golf course is one of the oddest in Britain. It sits directly in the National Park and ponies graze the greens, sometimes pigs too. Eccentric? Certainly!

We love the ice-cream shop, the excellent butcher and the first-class deli. The local White Buck pub is well respected for food and drink.

If you’re looking for places to stay in Burley, our holiday cottages in Burley are some of the best, offering access near to all of these wonderful experiences.

Why Stay in Ringwood?

Ringwood, situated on the western edge of the New Forest, is a bustling market town with a delightful riverside vibe. Known for its independent shops, traditional inns, and the lively Ringwood Brewery, it’s a fantastic place to experience local life.

Busy, bustling, and a great foodie find, you’re only a 5-minute drive to the edge of the National Park boundary. The area is highly protected, so once you’re inside the park, you’re in proper countryside and will find the wild ponies and commoner’s animals roaming about – go steady on the roads – they have right of way!

Whether you’re kayaking on the River Avon, exploring the town’s historic centre, or sampling local ale, Ringwood offers a little bit of everything.

If you’re looking for places to stay in Ringwood, our holiday cottages in Ringwood are some of the best, offering access to the national park and the delights of the River Avon.

The Best of Both Worlds

Stay in our Burley holiday cottages for a quaint village atmosphere or Ringwood holiday cottages for a lively market town feel; either way, you’ll have the best of the New Forest right on your doorstep. Bransgore village is also nearby – a 15-minute drive from Burley. The drive is very pretty, amongst the heath and ancient forest.

Our cottages in both areas offer comfort, character, and the perfect base for exploring.
