Southern New Forest Getaways
Big skies, gentle valleys, few people
It is widely regarded as the wildest part of the National Park. There are fewer roads and even fewer boundary markers which makes for big views and bigger skies.
Wild and gentle, with few villages, but thankfully some excellent pubs, this is the area for breathing deep and savouring some space.
Famed for smuggling routes, herds of deer and ponies, and very few shops, this area is some of the New Forest finest. Those in the know (Read our Insider Guide) will find excellent local foodie shops, great pubs, the best walks and streams for children to jump and play in.
The coast is never far away here. In 25 mins max you’ll have sand between your toes.
