Weddings at Gins Barn: boats, brides, a big barn and a bison.

Need some inspiration for a New Forest wedding? Need a reception location near Beaulieu Abbey?

Whilst it’s not like us to brag, we had to on this occasion. In May in 2016 Gins Barn hosted a fabulous wedding.

The pictures are so lovely, the bride and groom so photogenic and the day so sunny (on a Saturday in early May, quite a feat) that it’s all here for you on the blog.

What’s more, the photographer, Linus Moran, has won quite a few international awards for some of the pics he’s taken there.

Here’s a quick retrospective…

The wedding was then picked up by One Fab Day, the UK’s very popular wedding blog and has been one of their most popular pages.

Here’s a short summary of the day from Linus…

Epic weddings arise from considered planning, gathering a great team of suppliers together, a bit of foresight and then letting everyone play their role. Calm, collected and just left to do their thing. From the florist, the caters, and the make up artist onwards, all great professionals who deliver stunning work when left to do what they do best. Each, only needing the minimal of direction before presenting industry leading results.

Rebecca & David’s Beaulieu Abbey wedding had a wonderful collection of professional wedding suppliers that worked beautifully together. ‘Synchronicity’ once again! It was a great scene to capture, and a beautiful experience for them to share on this magical day.

Linus won two awards for his work at the wedding: International wedding photography Wedisson Award & WedAward wouldn’t have happened!

For our part, I’d like to thank the happy couple for being our test guests at Gins for our first ‘big wedding’. Holly and Julian and the New Forest Escapes team put a great deal of effort in beforehand and we are all just thrilled by the results.

Since then, Gins has hosted over 8 weddings at the farm. If you’d like more information then please email us.
