Stay here and you’ll get spoilt for choice with everything coast, and everything country. The beach is 7 minutes by car and the National Park boundary is 11 minutes in the opposite direction.

Named ‘sweet’ in Armenian, the cottage is an absolute gem. It was once a home to a precious stone dealer, a man of good style and taste, and still boasts all the quirks from the 1920’s beginnings; porthole windows, original floorboards, and plenty of arts and crafts detailing.

We love inside, but we really love the terrace area, perfect for slow summer meals or chatting through plans before heading out. In winter, wind-down by the woodburner/fire etc.

For creatives, the owner runs a small pottery here. You can join in – ask our team for more info.

Everton is a (sleepy/busy/pretty etc) village, has a good traditional pub, playing fields & park, and a locally- stocked shop. You can also walk to the (dog-friendly) beach on footpaths in 3.3 miles.

Our Values

All the essential details.

Here's your full run down of this place, inside and out...

Inside

The house flows well for family stays. The rustic charm of reclaimed treasures is mixed with all your modern day creature-comforts and you'll spot a trove of reclaimed treasures, plush soft furnishings and gorgeous ceramics through the house.

The well laid-out kitchen means you can chat as you chop, and there's plenty of space for 6 around the table. We love the little hideaway sofa nook in this space. Those who want to hide will love it for a sundowner or perfecting their cat naps.

The old and new detailing continues next door in the cosiest of snug rooms. Whether you're a 'board gamer', 'Netflix-er' or a simple 'veg-outer', this room is made for relaxing. Those of you who know their New Forest architects will smugly notice the port-hole window here. A signature of the house's architect.

Head upstairs for all the bedrooms. The two main family bedrooms both has exquisite, robust Mahogany sleigh begs. There's also a sweet bunk room to bagsy.

Psssst...When you looked at the pictures, did you see the ceramic collection that adorns Anoush. If you fancy recreating any of these pieces, you'll be super happy to hear that the artist/Anoush's owner can run bespoke workshops for you and the children - just ask us for more info!

Outside

BACK GARDEN:

Catching your eye as soon as you enter the kitchen/dining room, just open the living room doors onto the gorgeous outdoor area to settle into slow living...

We love how the planting rambles around the back of the house, with lots of greenery to make you feel cocooned & private.

Sweet, petite, and perfect for an alfresco breakfast, BBQ, or bookworm session, Anoush's west-facing garden is also ideal for catching the last of the days rays with a sundowner!

For those with dogs & small children, please do refer to our Home Truths section.

FRONT AREA:

With two allocated spaces outside the pottery shed, you can also store bikes through the gate leading to the garden from the driveway.

The (lovely) owners live next door (please see Home Truths), so you may see them entering or leaving through their sectioned off part of the driveway... but rest-assured you'll feel completely private.

Garden :8 x seater rattan garden dining table & chairs / Gas BBQ
Parking :The driveway has room for 2-3 cars

Home truths

Tucked behind a main road, you may notice a little road noise at Anoush. This is a semi detached home, and the owners live next door- they have gone to every length to give you privacy (screening windows, sound-proofing doors, and separating the drive), so you won't feel overlooked during your stay.

Outside, the plant beds are dropped down a little from the decking & there is a small pond beyond the decking area (covered with a grill), but parents & small dog owners may want to extra vigilant.

In the main kitchen/diner, there is also a step in the main living area, which drops a couple of centimetres. The AGA will be switched off (for comfort reasons) from June - September, but there are hobs next to it & a separate electric fan oven to use under the island.

The gorgeous original fireplaces (in the main living area & snug) are for admiring only.

Upstairs there is a small 'ledge' on the bottom bunk, so if extra small ones are sleeping here, you may just want to add something to make it safe.

Location, location, location...

Immersing yourself in village life is a breeze here... the locally-stocked shop, traditional pub, park + off-track walks means you don't have to travel)! But, for town, coast & country adventures we highly recommend exploring Lymington & Milford on Sea!

The buzzy town of Milford is great to shop, sip and feast (Verveine is a must for special, seafood suppers) - and the beach here is just glorious! A 8-10 minute jaunt by car, we also reckoned packing a picnic & planning a beach day if you can - the views over The Solent are glorious!!

Lymington (also a 10 minute drive away) boasts a fab market every Saturday, and is bustling with boutique finds. You can also people (and Sunseeker!) watch at the Quay - where we love to carry on our adventure with a wander along the Sea Wall.
