With a hot tub, spacious areas for socialising, and soft coastal walks right at your doorstep, Nye Creek is the perfect retreat for fun-soaked days, invigorating wild swims, and relaxed living by the water. Located at the end of a peaceful lane, the shoreline is just a short walk away. The local pub is only a two-minute stroll, while the beach is a gentle ten-minute walk.

Well-travelled owners have thoughtfully created this house. The design reflects sturdy, welcoming spaces perfect for shared meals, sandy feet, and leisurely evenings. Picture sunlit breakfasts on the deck, slow suppers in the warm kitchen-diner, and time spent moving between cosy corners and the open garden.

The Main House offers ample open living space for up to eight guests (plus two little ones), allowing everyone to relax and move at their own pace. If your group expands, the Garden Annexe, affectionately known as Little Nye, can be easily added. This private hideaway is ideal for grandparents, teens, or an extra couple seeking a slower start and their own quiet corner.

Guests love how the space naturally brings everyone together while still offering flexibility. It’s large enough to spread out, with numerous pockets of space, but remains deeply inviting for socialising.

Vitamin sea awaits you at Nye Creek!

What makes this place special...

Highlights staying at this house and in the local area...

All the essential details.

Here's your full run down of this place, inside and out...

Inside

Walk into the hallway and straight away you'll get an idea of the owners sense of humour in parts of this house. There's a floor to ceiling wall sticker of a Hawaiian island and a cross-trainer fitness machine. Step into the kitchen and you'll get a good slice of 'wow'. There is a wall of glass along the garden and beach side of the house. It allows the lovely fresh beach light to flood into the room.

There is masses of cooking and meal preparation space, and a generous selection of kit for serving meals.

The whole downstairs area is open-plan only excluding the entrance hallway, stairs and utilities room and loo. So behind the main sitting room area, is a second sitting room area, perfect for lounging and playing kids.

There are bi-fold doors out onto the wide deck and garden which make for great indoor-outdoor summer living.

On the second floor are three bedrooms. The Paris bedroom is the largest with views across the fields toward the sea, the balcony here brings the wide skies to you... stunning! The Japanese bedroom is just a wee bit smaller and has the same views, the zip and link bedroom here allows for two full size single beds instead of a super king. The smallest bedroom is the Matisse bedroom.

The 3rd floor has clear views to the sea, the shingle bank and the fields. In quiet weather, you can open the Velux windows to right angles which allows a huge amount of fresh air in. The light floods into this room throughout the day and you can clearly see the stars here at night.  There is a large ensuite power shower here.

Subtly screened off, you may well spot 'Little Nye' from the driveway or garden... this sweet, separate annexe is available as an optional extra. With it's own entrance (and alfresco seating area), there is space for a further 2 adults and a cot - with a small kitchenette and shower/bath en-suite. *Please view our 'Home Truths' for full details.

Outside

The back garden is lovely, there are two decking areas. The main deck extends from the kitchen and has ample space for the big wooden table to fit everyone, and a few visitors, for meals. There is also a hot tub to the right hand side overlooking the garden (please note that there is an additional charge for guests who wish to use the hot tub). The second deck area, is across the lawn and faces the Keyhaven coastal shingle bar. You can't see the sea from here but you can certainly smell the salty air.

Little Nye (the annexe) is adjoined to the house, but subtly screened off from the main garden. There is a small area, with table and chairs for annexe guests to use.
GardenTwo decking areas with seating / Hot Tub / Weber small gas BBQ.

Little Nye is just about visible here - tucked behind the screening (adjoining the main house). The fence keeps out the cattle who occasionally live in the field.

Please do use the beach towels provided for garden and beach. The BBQ is stored away from the end of October until the beginning of April. If you would like to use it during this period, please let us know before your stay so we can make it accessible to you.
ParkingParking spaces are allocated as follows, and the owners kindly ask that all guests adhere to this to allow fair access during bookings:

FOR NYE CREEK BOOKINGS (Main house use only): Guests have 2 x allocated spaces. The assigned spaces are; one in front of the main house's front door, and one in the space directly next to it- in the middle of the driveway. Please ensure that you leave enough space in front of Little Nye (the adjoining annexe on the right) for annexe guests to park here.

FOR ALL JOINT NYE CREEK & LITTLE NYE BOOKINGS (Guests who have booked both the main house and the annexe): You have sole use of the 3 x allocated spaces in front of Nye Creek & Little Nye.

If you require any additional parking spaces, you can use the handy car park just a minute's wander away, but you will need to pay to park here.

Nye Creek does not currently have EV charging facilities, or access to charge your car from the mains.

Home truths

Adjoining the main house (and screened off from the garden), Little Nye offers a self-contained space which comprises of a bed, kitchenette, en-suite bathroom & outdoor seating area - perfect for those with larger guest lists.

The main house (Nye Creek) has room to accommodate 8 adults + 2 babies, and the annexe (Little Nye) can accommodate a further 2 adults + 1 baby.

Guests can book Nye Creek and Little Nye together or separately. If you want to book both together you will need to select at least 9 adults and this will be reflected in the price.

There is a fence separating both properties. The fence is situated by Nye Creek's hot tub area (please see pictures).

As we change the hot tub water for every booking, if you arrive on a changeover day, it may take till later on your arrival day until the optimum temperature is reached... trust us though, it'll be well worth the wait!

Nye Creek guests have 2 x allocated spaces. Little Nye guests have 1 x allocated space. Nye Creek & Little Nye guests have access to all 3 x parking spaces. Please refer to the 'Parking' section for a breakdown of where to park to avoid any problems during your stay. Pssst... There is also a handy car park just around the corner if you do require more parking, but you will have to pay for this.

For your safety, please do take extra care on the balcony (especially if allowing younger guests out here, who should be supervised at all times) and do not lean on the railings or glass.

The master bedroom ensuite has no door.

There is an extra charge for logs and kindling to burn on the fire (October- March) but feel free to BYO!

Location, location, location...

At the end of your lane you'll find the lovely and boaty port of Keyhaven. Created in 1206, this quaint fishing hamlet is now a base for boat owners and bird watchers. It's a beautiful spot sit, people watch, and call home!

Wander past the crabbing bridge to breakfast at The Lighthouse for laidback meal (check their website for more info on live music events too), and pitch up for a paddle wherever takes your fancy for afters - there's miles of coastline to chose from!

Head to Milford village (just under a mile away) to shop, stock up on supplies, or supper out - it's a lovely, bustling place.

Back in Keyhaven, The Gun pub (one of our faves) has a great beer garden and delicious menu. From The Gun, you can also wander The Sea Wall to another favourite of ours, The Haven, in around 1.5 hours (just under 4 miles). This really is a must in our book as you'll get stunning, nature-filled views on your travels.

After a pit stop overlooking the Sunseekers, head past The Sea Water Baths (a must for those with younger guests in-tow) to Lymington's lovely Quay and High Street (a further 15 minutes walk).

We loved this house. The setting and location are perfect. The Gun Inn is our new favourite place!

Rebecca April 2026

Our second visit to Nye Creek and we enjoyed the peace and comfort. Plus the close proximity to many activities. We did lots of walking, e-biking and wildlife.

Hartwell April 2026

A lovely setting for our family gathering to celebrate a 75th birthday, over the Easter holiday. An area we have enjoyed visiting for many years. We did bike rides, walks including a visit to Hurst Castle with ferry ride back, crabbing, cricket, visits to The Gun and watching the sailing. Plus several dips in the hot tub!

Everything Wonderful. New Forest Escapes are a friendly team, dedicated to our happiness! They responded to WhatsApp promptly. On arrival the house manager made contact, asking me to contact her with any queries - how nice! The team produce an online guide with everything you need to know about the house and local area - it’s so thoughtful, professional and was much appreciated. The house itself is in an open space surrounded by fields on a quiet road. It was peaceful. We immediately felt at home, loved the garden and hot tub. A well-equipped kitchen - oil, salt and pepper, some Nespresso pods, teabags and washing powder were all provided; as well as a welcoming bottle of champagne and milk. They are very considerate and generous, so they really do care about our experience - which was fantastic. Thank you.

Rachel March 2026

One of the best houses we have stayed in. Cannot fault house or service from company and even the weather was good!

Carole January 2026

We had a wonderful stay at Nye Creek for our family event. The house was excellent, very clean with a lovely garden which the children enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and the whole place felt welcoming and well cared for. There are great walks around Keyhaven towards the beach or Lymington. Milford on Sea is close by for any shopping needs and we had a delicious Sunday lunch at The Gun Inn. We would highly recommend Nye Creek and would happily stay again.

Sarah January 2026

Was a great break in a beautiful spot. It was a lovely house with light and space in all rooms, it worked perfectly for us as a group of women who needed our own spaces to spread out.

Nova January 2026

Nye Creek was ideal for our small family and dog, although very good for large families also. The accommodation was excellent and so well equipped. The Gun was very close and the food was excellent there Access to local towns and villages was very good apart sometimes the traffic. Everything was clean and well looked after. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were nice and clean. The stairs don't have a banister just glass so anyone disabled would have a problem.I'm over 80 and didn't have a problem but I have no mobility issues either. We all had a wonderful time and would recommend it particularly to large families. It has games for all ages, so no one will be bored.

David Spicer November 2025

The house is perfect for a multi-generational stay. A spacious, homely and well designed ground floor for everyone to spend their time. A very well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were all comfortable and spacious, some with incredibly views. It is a fantastic base for children for exploring on bikes with lots of trails. We ate in The Gun Inn which is a 2 minute stroll and also The Lighthouse which is a 5 minute drive. They were both delicious. The ferry to Hurst Castle is a 5 minute walk and we really enjoyed the journey and the Castle. The New Forest is on your doorstep and we loved seeing all the ponies! I highly recommend this house (we also had Grandparents who slept in Little Nye) and would definitely stay again.

Tracey October 2025

Dinners, cocktails and beach walks. A fabulous open plan house for our party of 10, plus furry friends. Great beach walks, lovely pubs (The Gun) nearby for an excellent Sunday lunch. We hope to come back - thank you!

Summer October 2025

The house really was in the perfect location for us and was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Beautiful walks around Key Haven. We visited and recommend Lymington. The Cliff House in Barton for eating. Had takeaways from Britannia Thai and Mr Pinks Fish and Chips in Milford - Highly recommend. Also The Pig Brewery in Brockenhurst and Pump/Tap room in Milford. A really great holiday and definitely plan to return next year!

Tina Rance August 2025

A family get together to celebrate a special birthday. Such a comfortable, light and bright house and garden - loved time in the hot tub. Beds are super comfy, kitchen well equipped. Lovely and quiet. We recommend the inflatable fun at the waterpark in Fordingbridge- e-bike hire around the corner - great tracks around the marshes, Sunday lunch at The Gunn Inn. Two of us ate at The Elderflower restaurant in Lymington, delicious two course meal, walk to Hurst Castle, breakfast at The Lighthouse.

Wiemore Family May 2025

Great living space, very nice views, beautiful hot tub, sheep were fun to watch. Would come back in the summer for more walks. We recommend The Gun Inn, beach walks to Hurst Castle.

Buckleys, Rotter, Meadows and Pindas January 2025

It’s like a home from home. Everything and more. Clean well presented and of high quality accommodation. The garden and views were peaceful. Nice walk to the beach and dog proof.

Melanie March 2024

Really enjoyed our second stay here. My sisters and kids visited for a night too and cousins had lots of fun exploring Keyhaven together. Canoeing with New Forest Activities was a big highlight - lots o fun. Along the Beaulieu River, a 2 hour trip - fine for all our kids 7, 10, 13. We enjoyed canoeing, Beaulieu Car museum, Paultons Park, walks in the Forest, Lunch at the Lighthouse & the Gun Inn for dinner.

It's very comfortable and a well equipped property. We did lots of walks! Visited Hurst Castle, the marshes, Verveine fish restaurant and mongers, the bakery + deli and The Gun Inn. Everything is so accessible. Thanks to all at New Forest Escapes.

David and Dee from Berkshire February 2022

Great place down by the coast. Took two dogs and enjoyed great walks and nice views from the top bedroom.

Jonny November 2021

Perfect place for a family get together after two years apart. Our little one absolutely loved the open plan living. Was a great trip.

Oliver October 2021

Great place down by the coast. Took two dogs and enjoyed great walks and nice views from the top bedroom. This house was in a fantastic location, close to the beach, New Forest and the village of Milford-On-Sea. The house appeared to have previously been pretty run down and had been recently updated to put on to the holiday rental market. The house was clean and tidy and had lots of books, CD’s and games. The kitchen had good cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils. I didn’t notice it on the listing but there is an annex which is occupied but this is well screened off and didn’t affect our privacy. On the whole we had a fantastic time here and would more than likely return.

Joel July 2021

Nye Creek is new to New Forest Escapes from June 2021, we've looked after this house through it's recent transformation from a family home to holiday house. We're so pleased to be renting it ourselves now and have no doubt that you'll love it there. We love that it's so close to the seaside, with a lovely lawned garden, and cows over the back fence....It's a very special spot.
