It’s immaculate, indulgent & just shimmies with classic, modern smartness. Nestled on the edge of Neacroft, a tiny New Forest hamlet, and just a short drive from the beach, this really is the ideal place for a spot of VIP spoiling!

Set over 3 x floors, there’s plenty of room to roam & retreat at The Bend; with beautiful living areas, a sofa-filled balcony & a glorious garden to relax in… oh and did we mention that each of the 6 x bedrooms has their own en-suite or bathroom?!

Stretching the full length of the house; the sitting room’s open-fire & modern paintings create the perfect back-drop to your pre-dinner drinks, before the main event in the twinkly dining room. Private caterers/ chefs of the party will be particularly happy with the set up here.

For a movie, games, or just full hibernation, we suggest you head downstairs to the the cinema/TV room where an absolutely giant, sofa-cum-bed-platform awaits… we’ll dig you out when the snow melts!

Waking up to a day of countryside pursuits, why not stroll through the surrounding fields & footpaths to discover neighbouring hamlets & villages (via the pub perhaps… we recommend The Three Tuns!), or treat yourself with a day at The Chewton Glen’s serene and slick spa? Whether pampering, or pottering –  The Bend provides the perfect retreat to return home to!

For the beach lovers & wild swimmers amongst you, the sandy shores of Avon & Mudeford are just a 10 min drive away – and promise to blow the cobwebs away! A walk out to Hengistbury Head is also particularly special (and good for prams/mobility vehicles) + as an extra bonus, this area is often deserted out of peak-season.

With its countryside-glam sure to win over the grown-ups, the 1/2 acre of fenced lawn also provides a safe area for the little ones to enjoy- complete with a football goal, ping pong table & badminton net (+ plenty of seating for the spectators amongst you!) to keep all ages entertained!

Inside

For big birthdays, celebrations and spoiling yourself - it's hard not to have this place at the top of your list!

The art-filled sitting room extends the full width of the house, offering an open-fire & plenty of room for all to get cosy. With an adjoining wooden-decked balcony offering yet more sofas to sink into, pre-dinner drinks are the order of the stay; whilst private caterers take over the kitchen and deliver wonderful smells...

Gathering here is an absolute joy! So if the stay involves some serious feasting, the well-stocked kitchen is the perfect place to whip up a special something. Complete with a 'sparkly cupboard', that has all manner of pretty things in (there are plenty of smart dishes, trays, glassware & table paraphernalia to choose from...), the beautifully styled dining room seats 12, and you'll really enjoy dressing the table for dinner.

Whilst there is a TV in the sitting room (appearing at the touch of a button!), we highly recommend returning downstairs to the cinema / TV room, where the giant sofa beckons for late night chatter, games, a some serious box-set binging!

All of the boutique bedrooms offer a sleek & well-produced retreat, with their very own en-suite or bathroom. We love the views from the front bedrooms, and the garden access from those downstairs- but all are just as nice as each other... so there won't be too many fights!

KitchenAdjacent to the dining room (which seats 12), the kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, two ovens, a hob, microwave/grill, fridge-freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, juicer, slow cooker, bread-maker, and plenty of utensils!

There is also a good utility room, off of the kitchen- complete with a washing machine, dryer, dish washer, storage for muddy boots & a downstairs toilet.
Mod ConsThe house has 2 x smart TVs. The sitting room's TV is hidden- but will appear at the touch of a button! Downstairs the 'cinema room' boasts a large TV which is perfect for movies or binging box-sets.
ConnectivityThere is fast broadband, with good Wifi throughout the house.
Kids' StuffThere are 2 x travel cots (please bring your own bedding) Cot 1 - 91cm x 62cm, Cot 2: 126cm x 66cm, 2 x highchairs and 2 x stair gates available upon request as well as a table tennis table, football goal and badminton kit.
PetsSadly this is not a pet-friendly home. Please do ask us for our escapes that welcome dogs.

Outside

The garden is large, with about 1/2 an acre of flat lawn, and an established garden around the edges. Well-enclosed (perfect for little ones), there are plenty of places to sit & sip; with a cast iron table to seat 12 + various other outside tables & chairs/loungers to relax in!

For alfresco feasting all-year-round, the wide terrace is home to a gas BBQ.

Level with the sitting room, the cosy sofas on the balcony sit six comfortably, providing the perfect 'lookout' to coffee-by-sunrise or cocktail-by-sunset!


GardenThe garden is large, enclosed, flat and mainly laid to lawn. There are various outside tables to enjoy the sunny and
warm weather. BBQ available (gas)
ParkingUp to 5 x smaller cars, or 4 x larger cars, can park off the lane- on the gravel driveway area.
There is more parking on the lane outside if needed.

The Bend does not currently have EV charging facilities, or access to charge your car from the mains.

Home truths

The house is beautifully set-up, so whilst families are very welcome, please do take into consideration the art & pale furniture when looking at a stay here (we want you to be able to completely relax!!!). If you are bringing children, please do check with our team to ensure it's the right place for you.

For your safety, please do take extra care on the balcony (especially if allowing younger guests out here, who should be supervised at all times) and do not lean on the railings.

There is a gas BBQ available for use in the summer months only. There is also a gas BBQ for use all year round. Please request at the time of booking if you wish to use.

One complimentary basket of logs will be provided for your stay (Nov - March). Feel free to bring your own for any extra.

You can park within 20 x metres of the front door, and enter by a set of brick steps (5).

Set over three floors, the whole downstairs is on one even level - except for the fifth bedroom's bathroom, which requires a step down to access. All bedrooms are either upstairs, or downstairs - with upstairs bedrooms having the best handrail.

Included in your booking cost are: all bedding and linen, towels for the house, kitchen essentials, any baby kit you've requested and cleaning the house after you leave. We also supply some treats to get you going for tea when you arrive. Enjoy!

Location, location, location...

Leafy, forest loveliness - Bransgore is one of the New Forest's most picturesque places to explore - and you can stay right in the heart of it!

With some cracking countryside walks on your doorstep (Dur Hill Inclosure & Homsley are great), you can also reward yourself with a pub lunch for afters - The Three Tuns is your local + the New Queen (2 mins drive further toward Avon/Ringwood) does good food with lovely views across the river & wetlands...

For a day by the sea, you're only a 10 minute or so drive away, and Avon + Hengistbury are firm favourites with our team for a wander by the beach huts, or a sandy sundowner. The Jetty is also a really special spot to continue coastal living.

A great place for a family get together. A beautiful and well updated property. The games equipment provided in the garden is excellent. Our only problem was understanding the very up-to-date heating control system. We all have very much simpler systems at home so an instruction sheet would help. (We did get there in the end!) But we had a great week together.

Easter week stay at the Bend. A family group of 6 adults and 4 children ( 6 to 14) enjoyed a 4 night stay in this well appointed house. The accommodation was of a very high standard and the kitchen equipped with everything you could want and more ! Plenty of crockery, glasses etc that can be lacking in some properties . The lack of a second sink ( ie one in the utility room ) the only criticism but there were two dishwashers…….. A football net provided in the garden was popular as was the cinema room where the children could escape. The accommodation on three floors with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs easily split into family groups. The parking more than sufficient for 3 vehicles. A most enjoyable stay we would be happy to repeat.

Lovely house, edge of New Forest. We stayed as a group of friends. Plenty of space for everyone and lovely that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Plenty of living room space and a dining room which 10 of us fitted into comfortably. The kitchen is generally well equipped but maybe an extra kettle would help as if there are 12 staying it takes a couple of kettle fills to get everyone a hot drink….maybe even a stovetop one? Other than that we didn’t need anything that wasn’t provided.

Beautiful house. Just returned from a wonderful break with friends in “The Bend”. This is the nicest house we’ve booked over several years . Always heard to find a large house which fits our needs but we found it. The house is very comfortable , with a large open plan but still cosy feel , well decorated and with everything you need. An amazingly well kitted out kitchen , never seen so many glasses!! The dining room plenty big enough for 12 people to sit round the table . The lounge actually had seating for 12 , with cosy corners too. Great that beds could be separated in to twins or king size and very nicely fitted out en suites or bathrooms next to bedrooms. A very large car park area - we got 8 cars in! Always a problem to park if you are a big group arriving from different places. The garden was huge and very attractive. In the summer, the seating area and the balcony would be delightful. A quiet corner of Bransgore, pubs could be walked to. We drove to Highcliffe castle and the beach walks there, Lymington & Burley just minutes away by car but it’s also nice to be a in a quieter corner oof the New Forest. This house was a pleasure to visit. We are a very “picky” group , hard to please and gave to 9.8/10 . Front entrance a bit tight and no way to put our muddy boots - we don’t like making a mess in the house ; and we would have taken the strange wooden structure off the candelabras in the dining room !

We stayed at The Bend for a big birthday celebration. The booking process was easy and we were given lots of information prior to arrival about the house and information about the local area. The house is absolutely amazing and there was plenty of room for 12 adults. The kitchen is so well equipped and the house has absolutely everything you need. We had an amazing weekend making lots of memories in a beautiful house.

Wonderful house. We spent four comfortable nights at The Bend. It was warm and comfortable and very clean. We were six ladies and all the bedrooms were well appointed. Four bedrooms are en-suite with two family bathrooms so we all had our own facilities. We enjoyed the open fire and it had a well equipped kitchen. There was easy parking and we enjoyed a dinner cooked by a private chef on our last night. The cinema room was great for watching tv. We didn’t use the garden but it had some nice seating areas and a bbq.

The house was perfect for my birthday celebrations with my friends. Each bedroom was comfortable and had an ensuite/bathroom. It is a beautiful house and had everything we needed. We had a lovely afternoon walk on the local Avon beach which was very close and used the cinema room for our girly Sunday evening movie. We also had a tasty roast dinner at a pub that we were able to walk to. It was an amazing weekend break and I would highly recommend this company and house.

A wonderful home for the whole family. Our extended family stayed at the Bend for 1 week in August. The house is in excellent condition, with so many thoughtful touches! The house was very clean when we arrived, and looked freshly decorated. The living and dining areas were spacious and bright, and the kitchen was stocked with almost every utensil you could ever need (including bbq utensils!) - it also had two fridges, two ovens and two dishwashers to enable our extended family of 12 to cook, eat and clean up at the same time. All of the bedrooms were bright and airy, with comfy beds and fresh linens. We had the option to configure some bedrooms as twin or double beds, with feather or hypoallergenic pillows/duvets. We loved that there was a bathroom for each bedroom and a toilet on the middle (ground) floor, all of which were modern and very well kept. The outdoor space was excellent - a deck from the ground floor with a lovely seating area, and a big garden with a football goal, badminton net and table tennis which the kids and adults loved. There is a large outdoor table that seats 12, and a gas fired bbq perfect for warm evenings. There was space for parking 5 cars on the private driveway too. Overall we could not fault the house, it exceeded our expectations and we didn't want to leave! New Forest Escapes were an excellent company to book through too. The website was easy to use, and we loved the 3d tour of the house with floorplans! The New Forest Escapes team were easy to contact, and responded quickly to queries about our booking and the house. The team also contacted us after booking to double check our details were correct, and discuss any extras we needed (like a travel cot). 10/10 experience overall!

Fantastic home from home. The Bend is an amazing place to stay - nestled in the New Forest. Every bedroom having access to its own bathroom/shower was a bonus. It has an excellently stocked kitchen and the layout of the house meant that with 12 adults we were able to move around without feeling cramped. Definitely a home from home.

Magnificent Property. The house, furnishings and equipment is a testament to good taste, intelligent planning and creating a relaxing, homely environment. With so many bedrooms and a large footprint it would be easy for the home to feel ‘cold and functional’ but that couldn’t be further from what the house is. It immediately feels like a home, and it’s so easy to settle and be comfortable. We were a party of 12 all over 45 and celebrating a 50th - the property was a perfect dining, drinking and carousing spot. I’d kill to have the kitchen in my place. The house is just 15 min risk from pubs of Bransgore. The bedrooms, beds etc were all comfy and bathrooms excellent. NF escapes were a joy to book with. Highly recommended.

The best house we’ve ever had! We are a group of friends who stay together for 4 nights every October - and this was our 17th year. The Bend was a comfortable and well appointed house which lacked for nothing. Every possible utensil and crockery was available, the beds, linen and towels were excellent quality. We loved the area, enjoying walks in the forest and on the coast. I also bought honey from the Sticky Sisters who were 100 yards down the lane!

This time we came back 10 years later to celebrate our 70th birthdays with family & friends and everyone again has been bowled over by how exceptional this place is. We all have had a brilliant time here making full use of the new facilities. It is so comfortable and well equipped. Everything has been perfect for our special time together.
