5 stars. Loved the shepherd hut, and it was also conveniently in walking distance to the main town.

Truly wonderful place and stay, the attention to detail made all the difference, would recommend this in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely stay at Whistlestop for my wife’s birthday. There are so many little details which make the place feel very homey and wholesome! We had lovely weather so made good use of the BBQ and sun loungers. We bought our 8 month old puppy which the host was very accommodating for. There was mat, towel and dog water bowl all laid out ready upon arrival which we weren’t expecting! Overall a great, cosy stay here, would highly recommend and would come back. Only minor downsides were the wifi didn’t work and location is very close to the train line. Thanks Sarah and Team!

My daughter & I had a fantastic stay at Whistlestop. As regular visitors to Brockenhurst it was a treat to discover somewhere new to stay. The walks as usual were wonderful, and it was perfect coming back to a cosy shepherd’s hut with great bathroom facilities. We’d love to return in the summer to really enjoy the outdoor space—highly recommend!

We had a lovely night here and I found it to be even lovelier than the pictures showed. A relaxing time with the fire pit and sauna and the house and bathroom facilities were so clean and well stocked!

Originally had booked in for a different place than Whistlestop but due to factors out of our control, New Forest Escapes were instantly in touch to inform us of this and had offered us alternative accommodation. They stayed in contact with us and there we settled on Whistlestop. They went above and beyond for my partner and I to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. New Forest Escapes also offered us a gesture of good will for the inconvenience which we used towards our favourite cuisine, Italian none the less, where the restaurant (Alberto’s in Brockenhurst) were also so accommodating to help us celebrate! Overall, all parties involved made our stay in the new forest relaxing, peaceful and stress free. Huge thank you to Octavia who was our point of contact. Can’t thank you enough! A brilliant little get-away in the heart of the New Forest. We've had the best experience with New Forest Escapes! From start to finish the team were super helpful and responsive. Clear communication and personalised recommendations fuelled the excitement even before the trip had started. A lovely warm shepherd's hut welcomed us on our first day. Classic FM playing from the vintage radio set the scene for an unplugged weekend. Would highly recommend anytime of the year. Thank you!

Such a wonderful stay! Whistlestop was everything we expected and more, so many beautiful touches and thoughtful details taken care of. Would definitely recommend!

They have really thought of all the little touches! This cosy shepherd’s hut is tucked behind a BnB, around a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of Brockenhurst. They left loads of lovely touches like Prosecco (as it was a birthday), flip flops, robes and biscuits. The bed was wonderful and the heating was amazing - even in cold November conditions. Would 1000% revisit.

My partner and I are and our small dog stayed in Whistlestop for 2 nights. It is by far the most comfortable and cosy stay we've had in a long time. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! Ciaran was a wonderful host - I highly recommend adding on breakfast for a cosy room service feel. We can't wait to return to Whistlestop and see more of what New Forest has to offer (if we can tear ourselves away from comfort!)

5 stars! It was just amazing!! Super chill and cozy.

Our first taste of glamping and what a treat. It was easy to find from the station. We met Cheryl in her garden and she showed us to the accommodation in its own private garden with separate shower hut, outside seating, fire pit, BBQ and hideaway sauna! Everything I could think of was somewhere to be found...hairdryer, flip flops, bath robes and toiletries. There was also tea, milk, water, washing up liquid, an iron and ironing board, earplugs (really not necessary) hot water bottle, wood burner, kettle radiators in both huts, glasses, a flask, picnic hamper, coffee machine, and ample storage. The most impossibly comfortable and cosy bed...oh and Netflix! On Cheryl's recommendation we took a walk into the forest to the Ornamental Drive (try the fully loaded hot chocolate from the van in the carpark) and the village which had pubs, restaurants and shops. And yes we did see ponies wandering around the streets! We had a lovely lunch in the Foresters, a fantastic dinner in White Tails and took an evening train ride into Lymington for a golf Sunday roast at the Ship Inn. Still loads to do so we'll be back.

I had the best stay here and would not hesitate to recommend or return. The hut is so cosy and snug and even on a rainy day is enjoyable. The wood burner heats it very quickly and the infra red sauna is a great touch. The add on breakfast was amazing and breakfast in bed was greatly appreciated. I cannot fault it and it was a friendly welcoming space. Meal wise you can easily do some simple things like salads or brought in sushi. The fridge is small but can fit more than you think!

On arrival we met the owners who were very welcoming they showed us to the shepherds hut and I must say it was stunning and looked very homely. We had a lovely surprise when we opened the door the owners had left a bottle of prosecco on ice as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.The hut was very clean and comfortable and was provided with everything you needed and more, there is nothing they haven't thought of to give you the perfect stay even the little extras touches of shower caps, earbuds & cotton pads, nail file there was even toiletries to use. It was so cute to see the dog bed, dog towel and bowls were provided for your fur baby. We had one of there locally sourced breakfasts highly recommended. Thanks again for a wonderful stay we will definitely be coming back.

Had a fabulous relaxing 2 night stay at The Whistlestop. Shepherds hut was very comfortable and kitted out with everything you would need. Great location, a 10 minute walk to Brockenhurst which has a variety of pubs and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at Whistlestop. The location is peaceful and just a 10-minute walk from Brockenhurst village. The shepherd’s hut was cosy with a very comfortable bed, and the secure garden was perfect for our dachshund. We made good use of the sun loungers and found it the ideal spot to relax and unwind. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

A fabulous find with great outdoor space and peace and quiet. It had everything we wanted and we will most certainly return.

Exceptionally lovely little shepherds hut. Lovely and clean and had everything you could need for a comfortable glamping experience. Loved all the little extra touches that were provided, nail file, ear plugs, shower caps etc. All you need in the shower room, even had a coffee machine which was a lovely touch although we didn't use it. Bed was comfortable. Lovely private garden with BBQ, fire pit, sun beds. Hosts were very welcoming. A little bit of train noise, but not too bad. Train station around an 15 minute walk away. Overall, a lovely stay in a lovely area.

Such a lovely peaceful weekend away in this shepherds hut. A beautiful little space (though my 6’2 boyfriend fit very comfortably which was a surprise!) and garden area with firepit, garden table and sun loungers. Only a 10-15 walk to lovely restaurants and pubs in the lovely town of brockenhurst where we saw donkeys roaming. We actually really enjoyed the sound of the train running past the garden and it doesn’t run through the night. I couldn’t recommend this more, we absolutely loved it!

Lovely accommodation in a charming village location. The cabin is a perfect balance of luxury and back-to-basics. Everything we needed was there and the sauna and fire pit add a cosy element.

Absolutely idyllic cosy stay. We loved the accommodation, great breakfasts and infrared sauna. The hosts were super friendly. The location was perfect and walkable from the train station, it was easy for us to move around from the hut and enjoy all the things there are to do on the New Forest. Such a delightful spot, well kept, had thought of everything we might need and constant birdsong. Loved it.

5 stars. Great location, a short walk to Brockenhurst village centre and walks around the New Forest. Very cosy, but plenty of storage.

It was such a nice getaway. Place was very clean and tidy. Perfect for walking into Brockenhurst for breakfast or dinner. Then using the fire pit in the evening and toasting marshmallows. Would highly recommend. The Prosecco and note for our anniversary was lovely too.

Thank you very much, we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect, the hut was very cosy and well organised, the garden was also lovely, we only wished we could stay a bit longer!

The shepherds hut was perfect and included everything you could need and more. We visited on a cold and wet weekend and it was so warm and cosy in the hut and bathroom. It is in a great location close to local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend visiting and we will definitely come again.

Exactly what we expected - loved that we weren’t too far out from New Forest and little villages and the walks, but felt cosy and away from everything when in our little hut. All areas of the hut and toilet were spotless and had everything thought through- We payed extra to take our dog and this was taken into consideration too - dog bed,blanket,towel and bowl left for her which was such a nice touch. Left to our own devices really so can’t say much on customer service, but I liked that you felt no pressure to interact or interve if you didn’t need to. But a note left to ask and help ourselves to any tea/milk/water if needed. Honestly can’t say one thing negative - it was a long drive for us (5hour) and can honestly say it was worth it. Thank you for all who are involved. X

Wonderful stay and really sweet hut. The sauna was a bonus and we enjoyed the location of the stay.

We loved it here. Perfect spot to explore the New Forest. Feels like you’re tucked away from the rest of the world in your own little secret space.

Wonderful Little Escape Myself and my partner booked last minute for a little getaway and were very pleased. We arrived late to find the lights were on for us in the dark evening, the radio on making it already feel homely. The people were welcoming, the space kept clean and clean, the shepherds hut is gorgeous, the bathroom hut very well looked after, and the sauna hidden in garden a treat! Going to rebook in the future!

The attention to detail, and craftsmanship in both of Whistelstop's huts are just incredible! I loved how the plot here makes you feel like you have stumbled upon your own little countryside haven, and I would start and finish my days here in the sauna... what a bonus!

A perfect off-grid getaway for two in the heart of Brockenhurst. I love the interiors here & there is a great outdoor space to enjoy (even a sauna!). With just a short walk into the village & local pubs, there is so much to explore here.
