Inside

Wander through the secluded courtyard garden to reach this peaceful cottage, step through the door and you'll immediately feel the rhythm of the countryside settle around you.
The open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining area is well equipped for a relaxed stay.

The kitchen features a microwave, fridge, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, toaster and an electric oven with an induction hob and a Nespresso coffee machine.

The lounge area invites you to slow right down, with comfy sofas, a log burner for cooler evenings, and a smart TV for lazy nights in.

A dining area with a table and chairs for 4 completes the space for easy evenings sharing good food.

Head upstairs and the space opens right up. A bright, airy top floor bedroom awaits, with large windows pulling in views across the stables and rolling fields beyond. It's the kind of room you'll want to wake early in, just to watch the mist lift off the paddocks. This king bedroom also has its own ensuite, with a large walk-in shower, w.c and basin.

There is an additional downstairs king bedroom - a peaceful spot to retreat to at the end of the day and has its own ensuite with walk-in shower, basin, and WC.

ParkingPlease park in front of the Stable Cottage parking sign - space for two cars. It is a very short walk to Stable Cottage, via a couple of steps and past the working stables.

Home truths

The stables, with their resident horses, are right outside the door, so expect the occasional friendly ‘neigh’!

* Charges apply for the additional room. You will need to select more than 2 people when making the booking to ensure you have added the extra bedroom. Should this be added to your booking, on the ground floor you can enjoy a shower room and king bedroom.

The upstairs bedroom has no door and is accessed directly at the top of the stairs.

The owners' property sits right next door and features a lovely swimming pool, although this isn't available for use during your stay.

There is no freezer at the property.

There is an extra charge for logs and kindling to burn on the fire (October- March) but feel free to BYO!

Stable Cottage sits in a wonderfully well connected pocket of the New Forest, with Coombe Stables right on the doorstep, a treat for the horse lovers among you. Sway Village is just a short walk or drive away, with its independent shops and welcoming pubs perfect for a lazy pint or a spot of browsing, and everything you need for day to day essentials too.

Head to Milford on Sea for a proper beach day, with its shingle beach, sea views out to the Isle of Wight, and a handful of lovely spots to grab a coffee or fish and chips. Or wander further into the forest for a spot of wildlife spotting, keep an eye out for the free roaming ponies and donkeys that call this landscape home, wandering freely across the heathland and often right along the roadside.

Fancy exploring further afield? Hop on the train from Sway, just three miles down the road, and you'll be in the lovely village of Brockenhurst in no time. It's one of the New Forest's most charming spots, with a high street of independent shops, cosy cafes, and popular pubs, plus ponies that famously wander freely right through the village itself.
