Nestled amongst a tranquil garden plot, our hideaway for two boasts a VIP postcode that is just perfect for exploring Brockenhurst… and whatever you have planned, you’ll be sure to meet plenty of New Forest ponies & donkeys on your travels!

Located just a ‘trot’ away from the (very well-connected) train station, you’ll go from platform 2, to pastures new in a jiffy; as miles of scenic countryside await. Once home to the Station Master’s kitchen-garden; our dog-friendly bolthole is now ‘bedded in’ amongst the greenery, offering the perfect spot to settle-in & savour life’s simple pleasures.

After a busy day of biking, bird watching & rambling… the list goes on… you’ll undoubtably work up an appetite + the buzzy village offers just the tonic! Stock-up in the High Street’s award-winning welcome store + taste for yourself why the New forest locals flock to the butchers/ greengrocers/ & bakers! Plan in a pub pit-stop on the way home (there are plenty to choose from!) and do book a table at The Pig if you are after a special supper out.

Before another day of adventures, pour something delicious, curl-up with a good read & burrow down in the bedrooms of dreams… it’s ‘all aboard’ to The Nest!

Inside

Perfectly formed for two guests (solo adventurers also very welcome!), we love how inside & outside are as-one at The Nest; with light filling the open-plan kitchen & living/dining areas + bi-folds that bring the great outdoors in…

Welcoming soft furnishings, natural finishing touches and a calming Farrow & Ball backdrop all help to echo your countryside location; and your Scandinavian owner has designed this ground floor annexe to really embrace life in the slow lane - adding lots of lovely little finishing touches to make sure you feel at home. Babes in arms + dogs welcome to join the fun.

Some nights you may be drawn to supper under the stars, whilst on others you may simply sink into the sofa with a good book… But, when you are ready to retire for the day, the bedroom 'burrow' of dreams is waiting! With its clever design & gorgeous, leafy aesthetic, what a spot to slumber… we’ll take our morning coffee here before hitting the shower please!

Psssst - If you are eating in during your escape, the kitchen is fully kitted out & Brockenhurst’s ‘High Street’ showcases a fab smorgasbord of homegrown foodie shops!

Tucked behind the owner’s home & garden, your self-contained sanctuary can be accessed at the bottom of the main driveway, nestled amongst the ferns!

*If you are driving down, the guest parking spot is located at the end of the drive (to the right of the owner's home)

Thanks to nifty screening, we love that you’ll benefit from the wide skies & tall oak trees from the host’s surrounding garden, whilst feeling nice & private at the same time. The table & chairs at the front provide the perfect spot to sip & snack, but there are also a couple of chairs at the back (next to the *WW1 bunker!!) if you are chasing the sun.

Perfectly placed for ramblers & cyclists, you can access the open forest in a matter of minutes from the back gate here (there’s also a bike rack here… the owner’s thought of everything!)

Home truths

Your allocated parking space is at the end of the driveway, just in front of the annexe's entrance. Please do only park here as otherwise you may block the owner in.

Bikes are not included, but can be hired from one of the fab local shops in Brockenhurst.

Please keep the garden gates closed at all time to keep the lovely New forest ponies & donkeys out and avoid damage to the property.

Please do not attempt to hunker down in the bunker... it would not be safe.

Accessibility

Located at the bottom of the owner's garden, The Nest is a ground floor, self-contained annexe with parking (the guest parking spot is at the front of the owner's home). Guests requiring more information are welcomed to give us a call or email where we will be happy to answer any questions.
