Moonwood House

Wonderful luxury house in the New Forest. We had the best time in Moonwood House. The setting was magical and the accommodation surpassed everything we thought it would be from the photos. We cannot praise the team at New Forest Escapes enough for their responsiveness. Magical memories have been made. We especially liked the information booklet that was sent to us in advance of our trip. So much useful information. Thank you.

5 stars! We Stayed at Moonwood for the New Year celebration and my daughters birthday. We are a family of ten aged from one year old to 79 years old. A very comfortable home and the Spa Swimming tub was a great success.

We loved our 3rd stay at Moonwood. More memories made around the table and lounging by the fire. We look forward to returning next year and sharing it with more friends and family.

We enjoyed our third stay at Moonwood . We live in the States so we use this home to have quality time with friends and family on our visits home . So many memories have been made in this spotless relaxing home . A local cook delivered us fabulous home cooked meals we enjoyed around the gorgeous table . Everything in this home is 5* .We look forward to returning next year

Three generations, from age 7 to 71, stayed at Greenwood to celebrate a 70th birthday and 50th wedding anniversary and Greenwood was the perfect setting. The house was spotlessly clean, welcoming, and had everything we could possibly need. The games room kept the young (and old!) entertained for hours. Thank you Greenwood and the NFE team; we had a perfect weekend.

Lovely house inside and out. The NFE team were very helpful throughout and we will definitely return. Only problem was the need to drive to the village as no proper footpaths

What a brilliant place to spend a week. Loved the swim spa, the kitchen is very well fitted and we loved the Quooker tap! I want one. Beds are so comfy. Can’t quite believe how many ponies we encountered on the road and in Beaulieu- it is as very busy road to walk to Beaulieu or The Royal Oak but we had a scout leader with us who found alternatives.

Excellent family retreat. Superb accommodation pristine throughout, ideal location for local pubs walks and restaurants, Would recommend for a family get together, the children loved it too

We have had a wonderful stay at Moonwood House. This being our 3rd time here, and we’ve enjoyed BBQs, days out, and time in the hot tub. See you next year! The Panashis xxx

We've had a fantastic stay, what a wonderful house. We loved the ponies, donkeys and cows in The New Forest. We love TNF and the house was amazing!! Toby the doggy loves the house too.

A gorgeous house and enormous hot tub. High quality accommodation with amazing hot tub in large private garden. Gas BBQ and lots of seating options to dine inside and out. You can walk into Beaulieu but there is no pavement and the road can be busy. Deli in Beaulieu sells bread and pastries and there are pubs within walking distance. The new forest ponies and donkeys are gorgeous.

A second visit to Moonwood house and we were still blown away with how special this house is. Celebrating a 40th birthday with our friends, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed at Moonwood House for an extended family holiday, three generations and a dog. The house and gardens were stunning and very well equipped and comfortable. Everything was great. We all loved it - so much that we had to chase the dog round the (large) garden to physically remove him when we he worked out we were leaving. The service from NFE was brilliant from the booking onwards.

A fantastic stay in a beautiful house! We enjoyed the local area- visiting Beaulieu and Lymington (great ice cream!). The house was very well equipped and comfortable and perfect for a stay with babies. Thank you!

From the photographs we knew we were going to a lovely venue, but how stunning the place is needs to be seen in person. It has been styled beautifully and was well equipped in every sense. We could not fault it in any way and would certainly recommend it to anyone. The hot tub was certainly the largest we’ve ever seen and was heavenly to relax in. The location is perfect; a short walk into Beaulieu itself and a pleasant walk onward to Buckler’s Hard or the Motor Museum. Can’t wait to have another opportunity to stay here sometime in the future.

Just spent a family weekend at Moonwood House. The house is absolutely lovely, really well equipped and the outside space is great for family get togethers. The spa pool and some stunning weather made for a special weekend. Would highly recommend.

Moonwood provided the perfect location for our family gathering. Spacious with carefully thought out accommodation to serve all our needs with ages ranging from 18months to 70years. We enjoyed the garden, outside seating and the spa/hydro pool which was easy to access & provided immense pleasure. The well equipped kitchen provided the hub of our socialising & leant itself perfectly for an outside chef to cater for one of our meals. The pizza oven proved popular too. Great location with plenty to see and do within striking distance although with such sunny weather and a comfortable home we were happy to ‘stay home’ .

The most fantastic venue for a family weekend to celebrate a 70th birthday. Exceptional accommodation and we had everything we needed - and more - for our holiday! The Jacuzzi/pool was the cherry on top! Excellent location. Huge thank you to the cleaning staff, everything was immaculate. Lots of memories made and we hope to be back.

A lovely well equipped, comfortable house in an excellent location for a 3 generation family holiday. The cleaners should be commended for the cleanliness of the house. The garden was planted well. The tulips were just about opening. The Swim Spa was enjoyed by the children every day. The garden bedroom was appreciated. Only quibble re. bed arrangements, we needed another room where double could be made into a twin to accommodate children.

Lovely house, well equipped, very clean. Loved the swim spa. Good location and lucky with the weather. Visited Lepe country park, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and did walking adn cycling. A big thank you to the cleaners, a magnificent job well done :)

Lovely house, so welcoming. Lovely place, so quiet. All the family celebrating my 60th. Only grip is the door handles, several of us got stuck in rooms as we couldn't turn them. But so nice we extended our stay. Thank you the cleanliness was second to none, the best we have encountered, keep that up! We will be back I am sure.

Our stay here was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for a better house and host for celebrating a family members birthday with all the family.

"The best home yet!" We have been visiting the New Forest for a family gathering for 25+ years. 'Kids' now 30 and 27 and now all about the food, wine and relaxing evenings. Nice to have high level comfort throughout with high quality mattresses, sofas, dining table and great WiFi/TV. Lovely kitchen and we really enjoyed a couple of dinners in en famille. Really appreciate being able to bring Ember our mini Daschund as often dog friendly houses not quite so lush. Will definitely hope to return in 2025. Thank you Rachel for prompt responses.

Most enjoyable stay in such an immaculate house, clean, well presented and complete with everything you could possibly need. Garden and tub great fun in November. Great weekend all round.

What a wonderful house made our stay in the New forest more enjoyable. We visited bucklers hard which was a fantastic experience. We enjoyed afternoon tea in Esme's tea rooms. We had a lovely 3 mile walk around Ashhurst. We recommend the Royal Oak for drinks!

Unforgettable stay at this lovely house, we have been on may holidays like this and would say this has been the best by far. Countryside landscape and beautiful walks. We loved using the hot tub and got lots of use of the BBQ and pizza oven. Thanks for a great stay. Amazing holiday thank you!

Thank you Moonwood House for an amazing holiday. The perfect place for our multigenerational family of 10 to create precious memories. Beautifully nestled in the New Forest with everything we could need. The bedrooms, kitchen, garden, all exceeded our expectations. we knew it would be amazing but didn't realise quite how amazing until we arrived. The children ages 2-8 had the time of their lives, we hope to return to beautiful Moonwood Housse one day.

Moonwood House - what a find. We have just loved every moment of our 10 days in this truly stunning and very lovable home. Three generations together and making some very precious moments for us to cherish. Thank you for creating such an outstanding home and making it available for us to enjoy. Looking forward to returning later in the fall. ** Tip - The Sanderson catering was excellent, Lasagnas.. fish pie and amazing deserts..... give her a call :)

What a lovely house, beautifully designed, fresh and clean. We were a family of eight ranging in age from 7 years’ old to 70. We loved having the snug for the kids and the sitting room for the grown ups, each with big TVs. The wood burning stove was lovely and warm. We used the hydro pool multiple times a day and there was space for us all to be in there together. There are lots of nice walks nearby, our kids were over the moon at seeing donkeys and ponies, and we had a few nice meals in Beaulieu. The Pig is 15 mins up the road and we spent a long afternoon at the Beaulieu tourist site which has a few things to keep the whole family busy and you pay one entry fee to access stately home, Motor Museum, adventure playground.

Amazing week to celebrate my 70th birthday with my family. Fantastic house, symmetry to die for, glorious days in the pool. Our family fit in perfectly. We would highly recommend.

What a wonderful week at Moonwood House!! We recommend - Beaulieu - Walk to Bucklers Hard and easy walk on made up paths - Moors Valley Country Park, fun for all the family - Beaulieu Farmers Market, great produce - Royal Oak, great food and service - Bellard and Brown in Beauliey, good for breakfast - Hythe Pier, a little railway and trips to Southampton. Perfect place for a family celebration.

Our stay at Moonwood House was simply enchanting! The serene surroundings, beautiful facilities and cozy rooms made it a memorable 60th birthday for all the family. The children in particular had a blast enjoying the hot tub pool. Can we move in?

I absolutely loved staying in this massive house (it was very neat), I cannot believe it had 5 bedrooms! The swimspa was lovely and we would recommend going to Lymington, Lyndhurst, New Milton and Beaulieu. We loved seeing the horses, donkeys and cows in Beaulieu and also a gift shop called Norris and the bookshops. Our dog Ronnie loved the massive garden and he enjoyed going out everyday to different shops and restaurants. Also you can go to The Bakehouse that has cakes and next door is a sweet and chocolate shop that we used too. From Heidi aged 10, Jessica age 12, also mummy and daddy and Ronnie.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend in your beautiful house, we had a marvellous time celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with the family. Rarely do places come up to expectations but this really exceeded our expectations. Thank you again, it really was wonderful.

We have very much enjoyed our stay here, what a beautiful and comfortable house. The swim spa is lovely as are the outdoor areas and planting. We recommend - Beaulieu Bakehouse in the village and 'The Bakehouse Big Boy' breakfast sandwich, swimming at Lepe beach - though don't go too late as the car park gets very busy, the walk from Milford on Sea to Hurst Castle along the spit and the ferry back, for a special occasion Harnett & Hodder at Limewood Hotel was delicious in relaxed surroundings, Farm Shop is good for bread, meat and all sorts - we got BBQ supplies here. Thank you for a lovely and relaxing stay.

We have had a wonderful stay at Moonwood for the last week with our friends. The house is perfect for a family holiday- the kids loved the pool and the kitchen is a joy to cook in! There is everything you could need and more in the house. During our stay we attended The New Forest Show, visited Burley, had a bike ride to Bucklers Hard and wandered around Christchurch. Moonhill House was absolutely perfect. Beautiful well equipped home in fabulous garden with swim spa. Bbq and pizza oven. Everything you could need for a great vacation. We loved it! What a find - our newest, favorite big house in the country is just WOW. Alfresco dining, the glistening pool, and a gorgeous terrace are just a few of the extras that make it perfect for pow-wows with your favourite gang. It's nestled in the woods on the outskirts of the picture-perfect village of Beaulieu with open forest and the meandering Beaulieu River just a short amble away - sea, beaches, and Exubury Gardens on the doorstep too. Get in the queue and be prepared to be dazzled, it's going to hit the spot!

The level of attention and finishing touches throughout Moonwood House is second to none; especially in the gorgeous kitchen, which stole the show for me! Every room is beautifully set out, and the interior designer who styled the house & garden really has thought of everything to make this home feel special!
