Inside

Holiday living is easy at Seashells, one of a small group of smart new luxury apartments on a leafy residential road, perfectly positioned between Highcliffe Beach and the village’s ‘high street’. It is super convenient. The easily accessible ground floor apartment has accommodation all on one level with an allocated parking space round the back.

The entrance opens onto a hallway with floorboard-style tiling, hooks to hang jackets, and a handy wicker basket for stashing sandy shoes. A big storage cupboard houses useful essentials for young families - a travel cot and high chair. The hallway divides, leading to the open-plan kitchen-living-dining room in one direction and two airy double bedrooms in the other. High spec features include zoned underfloor heating for cosy toes warmth year round, modern bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen.

The style is coastal and cosy, comfortable and practical. The modern kitchen-living-dining room is a relaxing space decorated in a comfy and contemporary take on coastal with sky coloured walls, plush deep sea green sofa, squashy leather armchair, colourful artwork and smart TV. It is light-filled - big windows and glazed doors open onto the south-facing terrace which runs the full width of the apartment, providing a lovely spot for sipping your morning coffee, dining al fresco, or simply sitting in the sun.

The kitchen has chic muted shades of pebble and stone and driftwood look wall cupboards. Appliances cover all needs, including tall fridge, small freezer, induction hob, microwave, oven, plus cafetiere, toaster and washer/dryer. You can happily rustle up something tasty for breakfast, lunch or supper while still being at the heart of the holiday chat. A circular dining table seats four, however on sunny days you’ll be tempted to enjoy the terrace where a table and chairs are tucked into a private corner… That’s if you are not heading out to discover the inviting local cafes, pubs and restaurants. For gentle slumbers, the master bedroom suite is roomy with king size bed, vanity unit and wardrobe, and a soothing scheme of soft grey tones contrasted with deep berry. There’s a door on to that sunny terrace along with a spa-style en suite with generous shower and stylish textured tiling.

The second double offers flexibility with twin beds that can be pushed together for a super king size double. There’s a door on to the terrace and gardens, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a fresh coastal theme of ocean blues and sea spray white. The roomy family bathroom has a shower over the bath tub for a soak or a refresh, and lovely wavy textured tiling for a smart seaside vibe.

The south-facing terrace and leafy gardens and semi-tropical planting are like an additional living space at this swish ground floor apartment. Doors open from both of the bedrooms as well as the airy kitchen-living-dining room onto the terrace which runs the width of the apartment. Here chairs and a table in the sun are the perfect spot for early morning coffee, al fresco eats, soaking up the sun, sitting and relaxing, or evening drinks.

Round the back there’s an allocated space for one car for easy and convenient parking. If you're after even more space to relax and play, at the end of the road is a lovely park with playground and plenty of open space.

The terrace runs the width of the apartment and is accessible from both of the bedrooms and the spacious kitchen-living-dining room. The bathrooms are roomy, and parking is easy - with allocated space for one car round the back and room to park up and drop off passengers and bags.

Location, location, location...

Seashells is a swish new apartment in the heart of Highcliffe village. Whatever you want from your getaway, Seashells is perfectly positioned. The village’s ‘high street’ with its indie shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is only round the corner.

Meanwhile beautiful Highcliffe beach, romantic Highcliffe castle (once home to Mr Selfridge) and Steamer Point, a clifftop nature reserve with stunning views to the Isle of Wight, are an easy walk in the other direction. There’s also a lovely recreation ground with trails and playground at the end of the road.

Highcliffe is spot on for a seasidey lifestyle of watersports, beach games, sunbathing, paddling and wild swimming. Highcliffe Beach is simply tremendous. This Blue Flag award winning sand and shingle beach is sheltered by wooded slopes and reached by either steps or a zig-zag path that’s suitable for buggies.

Continue west to Avon Beach, home to the popular Noisy Lobster seafood restaurant, bakery and deli. Or head east for a fresh clifftop walks to Barton on Sea.

Highcliffe is also a great foodie destination. Cafes, pubs and restaurants within walking distance include The Paddle, Tides, The Globe, Eatery on the Cliff, The Kitchen by James Martin within the grounds of Chewton Glen country house hotel and spa, on the edge of
neighbouring New Milton. For Forestry adventures and wildlife spotting, Highcliffe is on the doorstep of the New Forest.

Hinton Admiral station, just north of the village, has trains to Brockenhurst, in the heart of the New Forest, taking just 14 minutes. Or hop on a train to Christchurch (5 minutes) or Bournemouth (13 minutes), for relaxed days out without worrying about parking.
